The soccer Aunt

On Satuday mornings I go to watch my nephew Ricky play soccer. This past Satuday I brought my buddy Gretchen to watch. Here we are wearing our super fan soccer shirts (it was Gretchen's idea). Here he is getting ready to kick the ball if it comes his way. He plays for Grant the school he attends. It is so funny to watch young kids play sports because sometimes they forget that they are even playing. Once in a while you will see them start kicking the dirt and flying invisible airplanes. It's nice to see them have fun no matter if they win or lose. Here he is celebrating the goal he just made. The first game he scored 4 out of the 5 goals his team made and this game he scored 2 goals for his team. He does a great job at soccer. Here is Gretchen enjoying the random comments that often unintentionally come flying out of my mouth.

Apparently Ricky is concerned about girls along with his soccer game. Looks like he is giving some soccer pointers to the ladies. Good game Ricky Wells, the soccer game that is.

My sister and new brother's wedding

Here are some pictures from one camera's point of view. My sister Tina married Dijon from Traverse City. They have been together for 7 years and they felt it was time to tie the knot. They were wed at Wabisis Park in Greenville Michigan. It was gorgeous. The wedding was outside and the temperature was 86 degrees with lot's of sunshine. Below is Tina and D.J. walking down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Dijon Dohm. Here is Amanda and I. This is the brides maids dress that my Mom and cousin Dawn made for me. The rest of the girls in the wedding wore light blue dresses. My Mom and Dawn made all the dresses including Tina's. The dresses were much more special in Tina's wedding because they were homemade with love. Below is Frank, Jamie, and I. Frank is Tina's friend from T.C. and Jamie is Amanda's boyfriend. Good thing Amanda isn't insecure. We like to take fun and possibly inappropriate pictures.Travis gave Tina away at the wedding and she wanted to share a special dance just like she would have done if our father was here. They danced to Alabama's song "Angels among us." It was really amazing moment in our lives. My mom, Ricky, and I joined in to share such a unique and intimate time as a family.

I realize in the picture below that you cannot see the faces of the bride and groom but I really like this picture because I just know how much they love each other (and some of my favorite pictures are ones with the side profile). I am so proud of how much they've grown as a couple and I know they will grow old together. I love them both so much and I am so excited to have another brother.

I'm not real sure what sort of statement this picture below deserves. Apparently I am practicing my dance moves for the bridal party soul train. We cut a rug that night. I had so much fun and got to see so many people that are dear to my family. Yeeeaaaa I got another Bro and I know my sister married a good man.

Sisner's Baccelorette Party Weekend

Here are some pictures from my sister's baccelorette party. We had it at Tina's house in Traverse City. Friday evening we had a pedicure party and cocktails. It was awesome. About 12 ladies came, that's about 24 soft feet when it was all said and done! Here is Heidi and I scrubbing our little pigs.
After the foot party we decided since Tina has a great fire pit and it was a beautiful night that we better have a fire. It would be a shame to go to Tina's and not have a fire. The sumac fields continue to be plentiful my friend (thanks to Uncle Mikie). Here is Tina and Hiedi enjoying the evening and the corona's. Below is the special baccelorette party guest. This guy has been to all of Tina's friends baccelorette parties. He flew in from Florida to make his grand appearance. Everyone meet Captain Pecker the Party Recker! This is Tina dabbling in the fun with our special guest. Tina make sure he doesn't get too close to the fire...........he might melt.
Below is Becca, Tina and Amy D. (Tina is sitting on my lap). Amy D. flew in from Florida to surprise Tina.
Heeey hooo. Here I am posing for the camera. Take that, take that, take that!
My sister is so dang beautiful! I love the pink Tina, I am so proud of you for wearing that color. Tina looks really excited about whatever she has in her hands here in this picture. That smile is priceless and it explains without words how excited she is to be a bride. On Saturday we rented a pontoon boat on the east bay of Traverse City and hung out in the sun on the water. After that we cooked out and went into town to a couple of bars to celebrate. Here we are at the U & I. It's a little bar that Tina frequents after her softball games (once a week). We met up with all the Traverse City girls here. Tina it's a good thing you love presents because you have been recieving a ton of them (I'm so envious I just closed my eyes for this picture while she opened this gift). Everybody in the club look the bride to be is in the house! Here is Tina surrounded by all of her friends during a summer marriage celebration dance at Streeters.
Below is Amanda, Melanie, and I. Melanie and I put the baccelorette party together for Tina. Awww you girls are naughty but cute. Amanda and Tina are ripping it up. All in all the baccelorette party was a huge success and I am so honored that Tina choose me to be her maid of honor in her wedding.

Some VIPs in my life

Here is one of my bestest buddies Amanda White. She is pretty much one of the family and she is the reason I have all these fun pictures to add to my blog. Thanks Haag. Below she is sitting in a gorgeous tree that was across the street from my sisters house in Grand Rapids.
Below is part of the Wells gene pool. If you can't tell we are related.
These are my siblings Travis and Tina (aka Sisner and Twin). I am so lucky to have such a great and special relationship with my siblings. We always have a riot when we are together. Our smile muscles and laughing muscles always hurt after we've been around each other.

Here we are again laughing about something or at someone! I love these guys!

My future plans

As most of the people in my life know I am planning to move out of state soon (within a few months). I am moving to Hawaii to get my master's degree and to experience a new place.
Pictured here is one of the many beautiful beaches on Oahu. Above is a picture of the north shore.

Here is a picture of the college I want to go to. WOW talk about a huge campus (that's pretty much the whole island right there)! I don't think this picture really shares with the adience what the campus really looks like. Below is a couple of pictures of the hospital I am excited to work at. The place that I was actually just offered a job at is a behavior health hospital. My job there would be similar to what I am doing at Pine Rest.

I know this move will be a very big change in my life. I will miss my family and friends dearly but I will gain an abundant amount of knowledge while I am there. I am thankful that I have family and friends who encourage me to do what I feel is right for me even though they don't really like it that I am moving. Thank you for your support peps. Feel free to buy plane tickets either for me to visit Michigan or for you to come to Hawaii (when I finally move there). I am not picky about dates or times;) If you have ever visited Hawaii I'm sure we could both agree that you dream about it for days and months after returning home. Thank you Haag for putting me up when I came to see you and for introducing me to such a amazing place. The memories are priceless.

fan club requests

Cha Cha Boochie, Cha Cha Cha Boochie Cha, my name is Tanya, I have a blog, it's really cute, so check it out! Here is a picture of Will Ferrell. I have to make sure my fans are being pleased with the contents of my blog. I had a request for a picture of one of the best comedians I know (personally)! Will and I go way back. I've even counseled his daughter a time or two! We played cowbell together for years. This is for each and every Wells blog fan out there. Enjoy.
