night shifts....

"Night shifts force me to be productive within my own life at someone else's expense." ~T. Wells

Music to my ears

Wednesday night I listened to some amazing live music with my friend Gretchen, her cousin Jill and both of their kids. (Both of which are expecting or knocked up if you will, congrats to both of those girls, me like babies). We heard Mat Kearney and The Fray play at the Intersection. It was a fabulous concert. I was impressed by how good it sounded because I have been to a few concerts in my day that have too much bumpin bass thumpin. Mat Kearney plays the guitar very uniquely not to mention he's HOT! The Fray.............oh The Fray and the fabulous piano skills. REAL GOOD BAND, nnt nnt nnt!

Da' yoopers eh?!

So this is the post that the fans of Alls Wells that ends Wells have been waiting for. I had a riot in Marquette with my friend Tara. The ride up got off to a shakey start because we couldn't get her new wind shield wipers secure. I should have known that she'd have electrical tape to tape those suckers on! We then made it about 3 exits and the tape started coming off. But that didn't make the trip bad, just exciting!! The weather was poor for the ride up but it was well worth it.

We stayed at her parents and hung out with her friends too. I pretty much slept in until 1 o'clock everyday that we were there. We ate really yummy home made food, shopped at fun unique stores, and went to some "hole in the wall" yooper bars for entertainment. We went to some parks and I pretended to take some really cool pictures. I am thankful that Tara's family took good care of me and that I got to see the place she grew up in. I can't wait to go back this summer to hike, fish, and camp!

Looking forward to my Costa Rica Adventure!!

I am very excited because I am taking a couple of nice breaks from my busy occupation. I am first going to the U.P. to hang out with my friend Tara's family and friends, that will be a 5 day trip. Then in April we will be spending 14 days in Costa Rica. We are going to hike, camp, and hang out at the beach. I am feeling like the relaxation is much needed since work has been so chaotic. I wish I could take all my family and friends because they deserve a break too!
