Just before buddy Kevin left New Jersey Jen (Gretchens sister in law), Kevin, Gretch and I decided to have a random photo shoot. We set the camera and a waited for it to take the picture. These pictures are awesome!

My Hero

This is my old coworker Kevin. (He is the one that met Gretchen and I in New Jersey.) He left Grand Rapids to attend Boston College. He is funny fellow, sneaky too. He always has something tricky up his sleeve. When we were in New York stores he would just randomly knock a product off the shelf so I would try to grab it before it hit the floor.

I love this picture so much. We here at Pine Rest and I do speak for all of us who matter, really miss our buddy/hero Kevin.

Kevin this is for you. This is your day to shine. Thanks for being the smartest person I know and yet being so understanding of my cognitive deficits. Have a great day and a safe trip home. If your lucky Nate, Gretch, and I will re-birth you when you get home.

The top picture is from Time Square. The other two are taken at Ground Zero. It was a chilling experience to see the 9-11 site. It makes a person a bit teary eyed along with empathetic to the chaos that must have been experienced by those innocent people involved in the terror that day.

On a happier note. This is Gretchen, Karl (Gretchens brother), and our friend Kevin who is a former co-worker of Gretch's and mine. Kevin came into New Jersey from Boston where he attends college. He went into the City with us on Monday. It was really nice to hang out with my buddies Gretchen and Kevin. It made me miss the good old days of the Pine Rizzle fabulous four (Nate, Kevin, Gretchen, and I).

New York City is a great place to visit. I had a really nice vacation while I stayed in New Jersey with Gretchen, her brother and his wife. We went into the city a couple of days and I wanted to share some pictures. Here I am with the most liberated woman I know.........the statue of Liberty! Yeah I am a total dork! I absolutely love this picture. It will be one that I frame. I had so much fun with Gretchen and her family. I am so grateful that she wanted me to go on vacation with her. This picture does have the statue of liberty in it that is not a light house I promise!
Here we are at Toys R Us with the candy cane man from the game Candy land. The toy store was huge as are most stores in New York City.

I will post again soon........sorry for the delay. If you would like to send a new digital camera to me to advance my blogging abilities than go ahead and e-mail me. I'll be glad to give you my address where you can send the new camera. Canon is preferred.
